Role purpose
This person is responsible to assist on Enterprise Technology IP/MPLS Architecture and Planning of IP Networks supporting VB and MPLS Internet and Private VPN layer 2/3 Services. This role is required to provide support to all IP/MPLS services provided by Vodacom Business sales team.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
To understand and document the essential components of core networks and their associated change control processes and SLA’s.To be able to effect network changes either hands on, through change process or by directing others.
To understand network availability and performance monitoring and ensure that best practice is applied in these areas to ensure the continuity and safety of services
Plan, design and implement new client solutions from an E2E perspective and interact with the different stakeholders in order to meet the necessary requirements
Follow-up on all business installations process ensuring compliance with specifications and completion within agreed upon time-lines
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and good practices with regards to Vodacom Business portfolio of products, services and systems.;
Submit periodic reports to senior management manager which include: progress feedback on installations, equipment stock, supplier performance, etc,

Document project implementation plans for all customer base;
Ensure support and maintenance for the installed base as per agreed SLAs;
Manage customer services and equipment configuration details using the relevant tools;

Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Deep knowledge of Internet and IP/MPLS Network technology. Specifically, Broad and deep technical knowledge of the following as a minimum:
MPLS (LDP, RSVP, fast re-route, Segment Routing), BGP, ISIS, OSPF, Ethernet (inc. QoS & OAM), L2 & L3 VPNs IP-QoS, BNGs, IP Multicast, PPP, L2TP, 3rd Party Ethernet & broadband access products, MEF services (E-LAN, E-tree , E-Line.), Internet peering & transit, RIPE, IPv6 and NFV;
Familiar with key IP/MPLS operational and/or IP/MPLS network design and KPI requirements.
Familiar with Traffic and KPI indicators on IP Networks.
Strong knowledge on IOS and IOS-XR operating system.

Must have technical / professional qualifications
5 or more years of Technical experience on networking components in terms of architecture, design , implementation and testingDegree in Electronic and Telecommunications
Deep knowledge of wireless and wired transmission technologies and devices.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification (Mandatory).
CCIE (or equivalent) certification preferred;
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in both English and Portuguese
