Main accountabilities of the role:

  • Have oversight and control over the general ledger and sub-ledgers and suggest changes when necessary
  • Ensure that all GL accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis for the full cluster
  • Support the month-end process, making sure all required postings are done within the period
  • Be an active team player in the process of records management, assuring that the information complies with the local and group retention policy
  • Support the preparation of financial information for the external auditors: generate the trial balances, reconciliations, balance confirmations
  • Provide support in the monthly financial forecast and ensure the information is timely reflected in the management reporting system (BPC)
  • Support the finance team on the monthly stock tak

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Between 1-2 years of professional experince in the field
  • Excellent knowledge in General Ledger
  • Good understanding of local accounting principles
  • Good knowledge in financial reporting
  • English and Portuguese at fluent level
  • Previous work experience in an FMCG and/or multinational organization is an added advantage
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • Easily adaptaptable with an outgoing personality
