Job Purpose: 

The Sales and Distribution Director (SD) is required to drive the business by generating sales, recruiting and maintaining national sales force, guiding the development and implementation of regional market penetration strategies.

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in any business management course 
  • At least two years’ experience in leading a region-based business 
  • Good communication skills and ability to command attention from the audience 

Knowledge: 

  • Project Management 
  • Strong experience in Business Processes for Solar power. 
  • Skills in managing personnel and contributing towards the development of department strategy Independent thinker who can offer solution to complex situations.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • The SD will implement national sales programs by developing field sales projection and action plans The SD will be determining, setting and monitoring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual national sales targets for individual sales points towards the attainment of the company set periodical sales targets by ensuring that the business generates sales and activation of set minimum sales units on a monthly basis with a daily DPR to the Managing Director. 
  • Implementing market penetration strategies; analyzing trends and advising the management on the appropriate strategy to capitalize on any developing opportunity 
  • The SD will establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing regional annual sales quotas for all the regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • SD will maintain sales volume, product mix, and keep current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, with the aim of staying ahead of competition by developing differentiated strategies for different areas of operations. 
  • The SD will build and maintain relationships with strategic partners and key contact personnel who will advance the growth of the business 
  • The SD will be required to take full participation in professional associations and affiliations to establish and maintain route to market contacts. 
  • Work with the HR department to maintain a national sales force needs by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and retaining the required number of national sales team starting with the Regional Sales Manager to the lowest level of village sales agents  Develop and sustain a strong market presence Reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks 
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Managing Director.
